Spoil the Dog Bakery has become known for creating homemade dog treats made with high-quality human-grade ingredients. In theory, that means you could eat them yourself - not that I’d recommend it!

They offer various treats for dogs, including bones, donuts, chews, and dog biscuits. The choice is yours, but the best part is they sometimes provide taste-testing tables for dogs to come and discover their favorite treats. You'll see a picture later in this post where George is demonstrating how to use one!

All of their dog treats are high-fiber and low-fat. They’re also completely free from sugar, soy, corn, or other preservatives. That means your dog won’t have an upset stomach from these treats. Spoil the Dog Bakery calls them “Treats With Benefits.” You can buy them in person from their St. Jacobs store or in shops across Ontario.

Another example is their Happy BARKday Stud Pack for male dogs. It gets packed carefully to look brilliant on your dog’s special day. The Happy BARKday Stud Pack includes a range of delicious homemade dog treats from Spoil the Dog Bakery’s product range, all presented in a neatly decorated box. It also comes with the slogan "Damn, he's a Stud".

Spoil the Dog Bakery have also got one for female dogs, made with the same care and attention as their other Happy BARKday pack. You can see the Happy BARKday Sassy Girl Pack in the picture below. As you can see, it's filled with tasty treats of all shapes and sizes, including bones and a donut. The slogan on this pack is "Ooh...She's so Sassy".

How Spoil the Dog Bakery in St. Jacobs got started

Spoil the Dog Bakery was launched by Rachelle 16 years ago with a specific mission. That mission was to manufacture the tastiest dog treats possible without compromising nutritional value or using artificial ingredients. Based on their success and the number of stores stocking their treats, Spoil the Dog Bakery is making significant progress in achieving this goal.

When Spoil the Dog Bakery make a new dog treat, they conduct extensive research into the ingredients they can use to create it. One of their most commonly relied upon ingredients is chickpea flour. It has high fiber levels, low-fat levels, and good doses of calcium and protein. Some of the other ingredients Spoil the Dog Bakery rely upon include:

  • Carob
  • Turmeric
  • Ginger
  • Coconut
  • Cinnamon
  • Pumpkin
  • Parsley

Each of these is a source of valuable vitamins and minerals, and parsley even freshens your dog’s breath! You can read more about their ingredients by checking out the link below.

Three tasty treats to try today

I’ve decided to focus on three more of Spoil the Dog Bakery's homemade dog treats. They don’t only sell birthday packs, after all. In particular, I’ve looked at the Mini Wheat-Free Donuts, the Wheat-Free Mini Bones, and Everest Dog Chews.

Mini Wheat-Free Donut

For only $1.99, you can buy a Mini Wheat-Free Donut. As you can see from the image below, it looks delicious. It’s a smaller version of their regular donut, measuring 2” by 2”. Peanut butter, oats, chickpea flour, yogurt, and of course, sprinkles are all used to make the Mini Wheat-Free Donut.

Wheat-Free Mini Bones

At $0.99 each, you might as well buy a dozen of these Wheat-Free Mini Bones for your dog. They’re made with the same ingredients as the Mini Wheat-Free Donut. They’ll give your dog a good tasting experience too. That's because one end is glazed with icing and sprinkles, and the other end is plain, which creates some variety.

Everest Dog Chew

The Everest Dog Chew is a 100% natural dog chew that’s great for dogs larger than 35lbs. It’s made with cow milk, yak milk, lime juice, and a pinch of salt according to a traditional method tied to its Himalayan origins. Because of that, you can rest assured that the Everest Dog Chew is chemical-free.

The milk is boiled for several hours to remove lactose, and there is no gluten in these chews either, which makes this dog chew a top choice if your dog has allergies. You can get an Everest Dog Chew for $12, and your dog’s teeth will thank you for it!

The best handmade dog treats in all of Canada

There are plenty more tasty treats for your dog on the Spoil the Dog Bakery website, and I encourage you to go and check them out. All bones, chews, biscuits, and donuts available on their site are made with the same attention to detail and care. Plus, if Spoil the Dog Bakery weren’t absolutely confident in the quality of the dog treats they sell, they wouldn’t offer taste-testing events!

If you place an order of $100 or more, you'll get free shipping anywhere in Ontario, Canada. You can also visit their shop in St. Jacobs for a curbside pick-up. If you do, you'll need to provide your vehicle's license number, make and model. That way, they'll know the right person is collecting the order.

If you live outside Ontario but still want to have some tasty dog treats delivered to your door, you can email Rachelle to discuss your options.
